Description
Temporary Child Protective Services Specialist IV will be working together with DFPS caseworkers in providing supervision of children without placement (CWOP). Children can vary in age, but the primary population is youth ranging from 10 to 17 years of age.
Child Protective Services Specialist IV provide supervision during their preferred times, based on shift availability. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, but time worked must not exceed 40 hours per week.

Has experience working with children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect or have prior experience working for a child welfare agency.

This position is supported by aState Set Aside Contract, which requires that employees have a qualifying disabling condition. Temporary position is through a state set-aside contract aimed at helping people with disabling conditions find employment.

Child Protective Services Specialist IV provide supervision during their preferred times, based on shift availability. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, but time worked must not exceed 40 hours per week.
After Orientation:
- Online training is provided and must be completed prior to signing up for and working any shifts.
- The employee and regional point of contact will be notified when training completion has been verified and the employee is ready to begin work.
- Travel mileage will be reimbursed at the current state rate for any mileage traveled from the location of the CPSS IV's identified headquarters or residence (whichever is the lesser distance) to the location CWOP supervision is being held. Mileage will not be reimbursed for travel from CPSS IV's residence to their headquarters for CWOP supervision. CPSS IV's are not allowed to provide transportation for any children or families.
