- Establishing safe relationships with clients
- Promoting and supporting their clients’ mental health
- Maintaining up to date and accurate records of each session with a client
- Performing clinical assesements and creating personalized treatment plans for each client
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the latest therapeutic modalities
- Attend and participate in team meetings with staff
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients verbally and in written correspondence
- Understands and works with the various support systems available in the community
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
- A Master's degree in social work, marriage and Family therapy, counseling, or a closely related field. Both licensed and provisionally licensed clinicians welcomed to apply.
- Any social work licensing requirements including LCSW, CSW, LMFT, AMFT, CMHC, ACMHC
- Ability to understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities
- Personal and professional experience with mindfulness or meditation work preferred
- Training in sandtray therapy, play therapy and working with autism and ADHD a plus.
