As aChief Operating Officerand public health employee, you will serve an active role in improving the health of your community. As part of a small, but mighty team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of SWDH and implementing its strategies into daily operations to meet objectives, including, but not limited to finance, human capital management, organizational development, customer service, legal and business compliance, risk management, information technology, facilities, and operational system functions.

Our generous benefits package increases the total compensation investment of a full-time Chief Operating Officer making $47.07 - $62.00/hour to an estimated $64.17 - $82.43/hour.

Typical Duties:

+ Lead, support, and enhance strategic positioning in public health programs and activities.

+ Contribute as an equitable team member to develop district strategies, goals, and performance standards.

+ Translate strategy into actionable steps for goal setting, performance management, and annual planning.

+ Ensure responsible stewardship of human capital, assets, resources, and public funds.

+ Build an inclusive culture to foster team well-being and achieve organizational goals.

+ Optimize operational effectiveness across district functions.

+ Directs facilities and real property planning and management; grants, procurement, and material management; budget formulation/execution and finance/accounting; human capital management and employee experience; information technology and systems planning and support; internal security and emergency preparedness; organizational development and analysis; customer experience and service; risk management; and compliance.

+ Manage continuous improvement initiatives and technology adoption comprehensively.

+ Ensure compliance with budget priorities, investigate and resolve complex issues.

+ Implement change management initiatives and interpret policies consistently.

+ Serve on committees, prepare analyses and responses, and coordinate special projects.

+ Develop continuity of operations plan and long-range expansion plans.

+ Recruit, train, and evaluate staff, and oversee the budget for District Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications listed below to qualify for this position. Minimum Qualifications (MQ):

+ Considerable knowledge in:

- Public, business, or Public Health/Healthcare Administration.

Typically gained through a closely related Master's degree,ora closely related Bachelor's degree and 1 years of relevant experience,ora combination of (4-5) years of directly related work experience and education.

+ Good knowledge of:

- Emotional Intelligence - Political Acumen

Typically gained through either a closely related bachelor's degree (or higher), or a combination of (2-4) years of closely related work experience and education.

+ Approximately (4-5) years of related work experience in the following areas:

- Leadership - Management of multiple teams

+ Approximately (2-4) years of related work experience in the following areas:

- Developing a team - Interpreting and applying laws and regulations - Public speaking - Conflict Resolution

MQ Specialty:

+ Valid Driver's License

+ Approximately (2-4) years of related work experience in the following areas:

- Budget monitoring - Strategic development - Operations Management including Finance, Planning, Facilities Management, and Organizational Development

Ideal Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

+ Bachelor's degree or higher in health administration, business, personnel management, finance, or related field.

+ Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.

+ Knowledge of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.

+ Knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics or understands financial and quantitative information and has ability to manage operations within budgets.

+ Knowledge of compliance best practices, including HIPAA and protected health information (PHI).

+ Problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to implement an organization's strategy and vision.

+ Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
