Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help drive our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to our community.
A part of Duke LifePoint Healthcare, Frye Regional Medical Center has served the health and medical needs of the residents of the Catawba Valley region since 1911 with a commitment to delivering high quality and compassionate care with a focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Frye Regional Medical Center includes a 355-bed acute care hospital – home to the Frye Regional Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General and Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, and Women's Center with a Level III NICU.
The hospital also features a 32-bed Emergency Department, 29-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, 15-bed Surgical Suite and Inpatient/Outpatient Imaging. Frye Regional's South Campus is an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• CPA or Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working at the CFO level in an acute-care hospital.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in an investor-owned healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to all financial departments, ensuring the overall fiscal responsibility of the hospital.
• Administer general accounting, patient business services, financial, and statistical reporting functions in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.
• Develop and manage long and short-range operational and capital budgets, analyze hospital financial performance, identify trends and potential business opportunities, and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders in the development of hospital operational plans and objectives, including service demand analyses, resources availability analyses, and cost-benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.
• Drive financial strategies to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and improve financial performance.
• Oversee compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and third-party payer cost reports.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working at the CFO level in an acute-care hospital.
