This is an on-site, in-office, be-around-other-humans position in our Brentwood, TN office.

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will hold a critical position at the helm of the Accounting Department, providing leadership, direction and management. The CFO is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the company's operations including strategic planning, budgeting, and negotiation of major contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identify monetary resources; develop action plans
• Financial Management: Oversee cash flow planning, ensure availability of funds as needed, and manage investments and assets
• Monthly payroll operations: Collaborate with People and Culture department
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, update forecasts, and manage budgeting processes, incorporating departmental budgets and ensuring alignment with the strategic plan
• Financial Reporting: Supervise the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
• Risk Management: Assess and manage the organization's financial risk, implement risk management policies and procedures, and ensure that OMNICOMMANDER complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Relationship Management: Manage relationships with partners and investors, and negotiate with banks and financial institutions for loans or other financial instruments
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Accounting Department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Qualifications

• Tech savvy with at least 18 years experience in Accounting
• Experience working for a fast-growing founder-led organization
• Experience upgrading from QuickBooks, MS Excel and financial management software
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) highly desirable

Top Priorities

• OMNICOMMANDER has accrued high volume, manual tasks that have been solved by manual entry. We have outgrown QuickBooks and need to move to a more automated system to continue to scale
• The CFO will report directly to the CEO. This position requires an individual who is not only adept at financial management but also possesses a strategic vision to guide the company through growth and challenges of an extremely fast-paced environment
