World Animal Protection is the global voice for animal welfare, with more than 70 years’ experience driving change for a world where animals live free from cruelty and suffering. We have offices in 14 countries and work across 47 countries. We collaborate with local communities, the private sector, civil society and governments to change animals’ lives for the better.
Our goal is to change the way the world works to end animal cruelty and suffering for both wild and farmed animals. Through our global food system strategy, we will end factory farming and create a humane and sustainable food system, that puts animals first. By transforming the broken systems that fuel exploitation and commodification, we will give wild animals the right to a wildlife. Our work to protect animals will play a vital role in solving the climate emergency, the public health crisis and the devastation of natural habitats.
We are seeking an outstanding leader to join World Animal Protection as our new CEO to lead implementation of the next stage of our ambitious 10-year strategy, working closely with our offices around the world, deepening external partnerships and growing people power around our compelling vision to create a new world for animals.
The ideal candidate will be facilitative leader, with experience in building, leading and managing high-performing diverse and global teams to meet ambitious targets and achieve significant impact. With a proven track record of executive leadership in international organisations, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to articulate a clear vision which encourages, motivates, inspires and develops people. As a strong, credible advocate, you will bring experience in developing external public relationships promoting and representing an organisation on a global scale.

The preferred location for the role is London, UK, however we would consider other World Animal Protection offices in Kenya, US, Australia, Brazil, China and Thailand. The salary for the role will be £148,000-£178,000 or local equivalent.
