The Role
The Chief Engineeris responsible for all functions within the maintenance department. This includes, but is not limited to all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment with particular attention to safety, guest satisfaction, security, asset protection and maintaining standards as required. This position is also expected to supervise the day-to-day operations, recommend, and implement procedural changes and monitor and control expenses.
Ideal Candidate
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with guests and team members.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize department needs and adhere to deadlines.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Able to understand and evaluate complex information and data form various sources to meet objectives.
- At least 2 years of progressive facilities management experience.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills required.
- Previous management experience required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Can work holidays and weekends.
