INNESS is an intimate country refuge, hotel and restaurant located in Accord, New York. Situated on a campus of 225 pastoral acres, which include a 12-room farmhouse hotel, 28 guest cabins, restaurant, event barn, a 9-hole golf course, sporting outfitter, two swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, a retail home and farm shop, as well as an organic farm and orchard.
Job Responsibilities
The
Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all physical buildings and systems in place.
- Create and maintain capital improvement project budgets and annual maintenance budgets while routinely evaluating actual versus budgeted expenditures
- Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly punch lists and maintenance schedules
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical systems
- Initiating and monitoring work orders for maintenance staff. In partnership with their manager develop, implement, and improve strategies for tracking and completing work orders
- Maintenance of property files and records, including all past, current, and future equipment, and maintenance documents (e.g., as-built drawings, executed contracts, warranties, project schedules and specifications, budget documents, bids etc.)
- Regular representation of the Owner to vendors and service providers demonstrating poise, grace, diplomacy, and the utmost professionalism
- Thorough, consistent, and clear communication and collaboration with all on-property staff and off-site partners
- Hands on support to maintenance staff
- On call duties as required
- Building, hiring and managing a maintenance team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Maintenance: 5 years’ experience (Preferred)
- Management: 2 years’ experience
- OSHA Level 10 Certification (Preferred)
- Hands on experience of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, water treatment, sewer/septic systems, fire suppression system, pool management and other physical plant support systems
- HVAC knowledge is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Flexible work schedule depending on demands and facility emergencies that arise.
Salary-$80,000 per year.
