Qualifications/Credentials:
- Certified by the New Jersey State Department of Law and Public Safety, Board of Nursing, as a homemaker-home health aide.
- Must comply with all federal and state regulatory acts and agency's policies and procedures.
A Home Health Aide (HHA) shall provide personal care services assigned by and under the supervision of a registered professional nurse in the client's home based on the activities detailed in the Care Plan.
Responsibilities of the CHHA include:
- Activities of daily living (ADL) such as, assisting the client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving with an electric razor and physical transfer, electric Hoyer lift.
- Maintenance of a clean, safe and healthy environment, which may include light cleaning.
- Observe the client's condition, behavior, appearance and hygienic needs and document changes or problems to supervisor.
- Measure and prepare meals.
- Adhere to procedures and standards of personal/professional conduct.
