GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC.


Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance
Per Diem / Travel Authorized:
No
Overview:
  • Monitor process parameters for chemical batch processes, review sample results, monitor batch operations and complete batch calculation to support operations.

Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
  • To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
  • Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

About the Site:

The NNSA's Savannah River Site (SRS), located in Aiken, South Carolina, is responsible for supplying and processing tritium, a radioactive form of hydrogen that is a key component of nuclear weapons. SRS loads tritium and non-tritium reservoirs; processes reservoirs; and recycles, extracts, and enriches tritium; and also plays a key role in NNSA's nonproliferation missions (energy.gov).

COMPENSATION: GEM does not publish salary ranges on external job boards; all ranges listed are estimates made by vendors and not actual salary ranges. GEM’s offered compensation is dependent on candidates’ education, qualifications, and relevant years of experience.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience.
