1st shift, Chemical Plant - Maintenance Engineer (DIRECT HIRE) $70K
Smaller company but well established offering full benefits and a long term home.
(The plant is located in Taylorsnot far from Greenville/Greer)
Please note: This position is also eligible for overtime. Standard Schedule: 1st Shift is 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday,
However, this employee must be able to work weekends if needed and will possibly be called in on off hours. Other days off during the week will be available if weekend work is necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering
o Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Able to work independently and as part of a team.
o Able to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
o Perform, supervise the maintenance and or repair of production, pneumatic and electrical equipment, including installation.
o Maintain the facilities maintenance schedule and procedures.
o Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and procedures to ensure that equipment is maintained efficiently and effectively.
o Maintain equipment and maintenance supplies to ensure safe operation of the facility.
o Managing stock of supplies and equipment
o Review daily work orders and provide direction to maintenance team with follow up reports.
o Review all documentation to ensure proper data collection.
o Prepare maintenance reports and keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
o Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and report maintenance activities.
o Supervise contractors.
o Lead, train and supervise maintenance workers.
o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
o Communicate with other departments to coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
o Respond to emergencies.
o Will need to be on call, particularly where manufacturing equipment is in continual operation on the 2nd, 3rd shifts and weekends/holidays
