Organic Life - District 300 is looking for a Chef Manager to join our team in

Algonquin, IL.

As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the catering department within Organic Life who works with School District 300. Setting up and coordinating event orders, ordering supplies and food, inventorying, prepping and cooking food for the events. The ideal candidate will be a leader with a great sense of detail to food and leading teams. This candidate must have a history of catering, managing good food quality and has a food manager certification. This individual must have a good sense of computer, emailing, spreadsheets. This shift may need later days in the evening, or occasional needs for a weekend event. The regular schedule will be M-F but flex as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all catering activities and services including food, beverages,
• catering equipment and supplies, and catering operations.
• Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared in accordance with
• established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
• Coordinate with production staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and
• delivered on time.
• Ensure that catering equipment is maintained and properly operated at all
• times.
• Ensure that all catered events are well-organized, well-prepared, and well-
• served.
• Ensure that catering equipment is cleaned and maintained following each
• event.
• Ensure that catering products are all inventoried, ordered, and maintained
• in high quality.
• Other duties as assigned by Director.
• Bilingual is a plus
• Training will be provided with the Executive Catering Chef.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or a culinary degree such as a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. K-12 Student Nutrition experience is ideal and preferred.
