The Chassis Pool Coordinator will work directly with internal, external, and OEM chassis manufacturers by providing phone/email sales, support, and planning. Under the direction of the Chassis Pool Manager, this individual is responsible for managing all Chassis Pool inventory and sales, responding to prospect customer questions and issues both by email and phone. The Chassis Pool Coordinator must be able to understand and follow Chassis Pool policies and procedures, in addition to handling inquiries.

The Chassis Pool Coordinator must be able to understand and follow Chassis Pool policies and procedures, in addition to handling inquiries.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Run status reports from chassis suppliers
- Update chassis status, reassignments, VINS, etc. from reports to database
- Download and convert all new chassis invoices to files
- Update new chassis build dates, communicate with order entry on sold units
- Complete paperwork for ship-thru units for all suppliers
- Assign priority codes and track newly sold chassis
- Order Chassis utilizing OEM Websites
- Add newly ordered chassis to database, check for accuracy
- Update information for aged chassis
- Update chassis notes for website
- Process all requests for quotes provided by outside sales team to define equipment cost, freight, sell price and lead time for each opportunity
- Assist the sales department with technical inquiries to facility an accurate design for our customers
- Communicate directly with customers when required to clarify specifications or explain exceptions to their request
- Complete quotes in a timely manner continually updating the system and the sales representative if delays are anticipated
- Submit for processing or enter orders as needed
- Follow up with OEMs on chassis concerning status of delivery dates
- Send out weekly reports to sales team
- Monitor chassis shipping
- Regularly communicate with customer
- Enter chassis forecast as directed by Chassis Pool Manager
Required Credentials
- Minimum of five (5) years of customer service or sales experience in a similar industry
- Experience in the truck equipment, OEM automotive or similar industry - preferred
- Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a multi-department team and manage multiple projects in a busy environment with urgent deadlines!
