Chart Reviewer Rn

Job Description:

ESO Consultants is hiring a Chart Reviewer RN for a child care facility in Manhattan who is computer literate and has a desire to learn with pediatric/adolescent and mental health experience along with chart review and utilization review knowledge.

Chart reviewer's position includes 2 weeks orientation/training.

About Out Client

The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) Office of Child and Family Health (OCFH} delivers direct medical healthcare that is comprehensive and appropriate, oversights health care delivered by its contracted external Voluntary Foster Care Agencies and monitors the appropriateness of services delivered to children and youth who require the level of care provided by short- and long-term health care facilities. The Nurse Reviewer will be responsible for conducting focused medical record reviews at external audit sites and for assisting with the development of an electronic data collection audit tool.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Review medical records at ACS contracted Voluntary Foster Care agencies to ensure compliance with established health care standards.
• Use agency developed tool and scoring methods to determine compliance with all Federal, State, and City requirements.
• Identify and screen case reviews for children with special medical needs.
• Conduct unannounced ad hoc record reviews as requested by senior staff.
• Conduct agency re-reviews to evaluate individual and systemic remediation activities and implementation of Corrective Action Plans.
• Conduct concurrent MAU inter-rater reliability reviews to maintain review tool validity and improve review quality as needed.
• Assist supervisor to coordinate and carry out pre and post audit administrative and quality improvement activities to improve efficacy and efficiency within the Medical Audit Unit.
• Assist MAU Team with developing an electronic medical audit tool/data collection system and tool metrics based on current policies and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS RN license
• Must have pediatric experience
• Must have CPR/BLS (American Heart Association)
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19

Pay Rate: $58.00 to $63.00 Per Hour
