Charge Registered Nurse (RN) Friday-Sunday 6AM-6PM

This position is in central Phoenix, 18th Street and Roosevelt, Phoenix, AZ 85006.

Youth Development Institute (YDI) is a private, not for profit, residential treatment facility for youth with severe emotional and behavior disorders. YDI provides care to a diverse population of youth and adolescents of various cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds. YDI is located in central Phoenix on a 9-acre facility consisting of the residential program and adjacent group homes.

All positions at Youth Development Institute are safety sensitive positions as defined in ARS § 23-439. Therefore, the company prohibits the use, sale, manufacture, distribution or possession of alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, medical marijuana, or drug paraphernalia on any and all segments of the company premises, company owned vehicles, or personal vehicles used for company business or parked on company property. YDI is a drug free zone with zero tolerance for violators.

YDI has open positions for the following:

Morning shift from 6am - 2pm PRN.

Evening shift from 2pm - 10pm PRN.

Evening shift from 2pm - 10pm full time rotating weekends.

1 year experience in behavioral health working with adolescents preferred.

Responsibilities: - Nursing responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Charting PRN on open client issues

Morning and evening med pass with some afternoon meds on assigned unit

Managing calls, assessments and building professional relationships with clients

Performing monthly staffings, chart audits, aims testing.

Running for the Doctors when they are on site

Running health and wellness groups on the weekends

Transcribing orders

Using Quick Mar

UDS, rapid covid testing, TB testing

Immunizations

Maintaining units, keeping up with Joint commission standards

Collaborating with therapist, doctors, teachers

Assessing precautions

Supervising the other RNs, LPNs,

Collaborating with doctors for emergency situations, sending clients to the hospital, ordering X-rays, etc

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

Bi-lingual, Spanish, a plus; must possess or be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card through AZ DPS, and maintain CPR certification.

Active license to work in Arizona. Behavioral health experience
