Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. We are currently recruiting for aCharge Nurse for our Telemetry Unit. This Charge Nurse position is a full time, 12 hour, day shift position. This Charge Nurse position reports to the Clinical Director of Telemetry. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years.
Responsibilities: The Tele Charge Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient. The Charge Nurse is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: A. Minimum Education: BSN preferred
B. Minimum Experience: One to two years recent experience in an acute care hospital with telemetry experience preferred. Management experience preferred.
C. Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN license, current AHA BCLS and ACLS required. EKG certification required.
D. Other: Proficiency in both written and oral English. Completion of basic critical care course required within six(6) months upon hire.
