Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of very large and complex non-profit. As a crucial member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure fiscal responsibility, and drive sustainable growth to support the organization's mission and vision.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with the executive team to identify opportunities for financial growth and sustainability.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish budgets that align with strategic objectives.
• Develop financial forecasts and models to support decision-making and resource allocation.
• Oversee all financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
• Manage grants and funding opportunities, including applications, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.
• Explore diverse revenue streams and funding opportunities to support organizational programs and initiatives.
• Communicate financial insights and data to the board of directors, providing regular updates on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including donors, financial institutions, and auditors.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to staff across the organization on financial matters.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience (10 years) in a senior financial leadership role in the non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with grant management, compliance, and reporting for non-profit organizations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial sustainability and growth.
