Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our medical team. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary
- Insert and manage intravenous (IV) lines for medication administration
- Assess patients' medical history and develop an individualized anesthesia plan
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of anesthesia administration
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Stay up-to-date with current medical practices, advancements, and safety standards
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Current state nursing license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CRNA in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, such as Cerner
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation
- Experience administering injections and managing IV lines
- Excellent understanding of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures is preferred but not required
