Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team. As a CRNA, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing Plastic Surgery procedures. This is an opportunity to work in our very own state-of-the-art surgical facility and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients; while keeping their safety in mind. The CRNA position is considered a 1099 position (so you will be an independent contractor); with the potential to be hired on as an employee.
Duties
- Perform patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration
- Administer anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care, monitoring patients' recovery and managing pain
- Maintain accurate documentation of all anesthesia-related activities
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain sterile processing standards
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Excellent patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify potential risks or complications
- Ability to administer anesthesia safely and effectively in various surgical settings
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and documentation purposes
- Experience in acute care settings, handling complex cases and emergencies
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques

Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nurse Anesthetist
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CRNA (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
