We are a busy Gastroenterology Practice looking for a team-oriented individual to help us provide great care to our patients! The CRNA position will be responsible for the administration of anesthesia and related services to patients during outpatient procedures.

General Summary of Duties: Responsible for the administration of anesthesia and related services.
Supervision Received: Reports to Lead CRNA
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Example of Duties
- Reviews medical histories, evaluates patients, and develops/executes an effective anesthetic plan.
- Manages and monitors the patient’s airway and respiratory status.
- Monitors patients before, during, and after medical procedures as necessary to ensure safety.
- Accurately measures and monitors the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
- Documents all anesthesia and narcotic medications, following all regulatory, safety, and quality policies and procedures of the facility.
- Maintains patient and employee confidentiality.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Participates in personal and professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Performs related work as requested.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of management and professional CRNA theory, practice, and medical care to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge or organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Skill in applying and modifying the principals, methods, and techniques of professional CRNA skills to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree
- Successful completion of an approved Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
Experience:
- Three years professional CRNA experience preferred
Certificate/License:
- Possession of State CRNA license
- Board Certification
