```Duties```
As a Certified Public Accountant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of financial tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your duties will include:
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns
- Performing general ledger accounting and reconciling accounts
- Managing and maintaining financial records and documentation
- Assisting with the implementation of accounting systems and processes
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
```Requirements```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Proven experience working as an accountant or auditor
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (QuickBooks, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations (SOX, SEC)
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Background
We are by experience an apartment development firm opening a new event venue (weddings, music, Cider Mill) and involves TABC (we have a liquor license). We are looking for a CPA to assist in financial and compliance reporting. The successful applicant must live in the Austin or surrounding area as there will be occasional face to face meetings.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
