Assigned to participate in the multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Services of TUHE campus and will interact with patients, families, and after care providers. Will be an active member of the program providing a wide range of peer support. Functions as a peer advocate, role model and will assist patients in their treatment/recovery process. Will lead groups, participate in one to one sessions with patients and families and provide a wide variety of supportive services to assist the patient's integration into the community. Accompanies patients to activities and appointments offsite.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Associates Degree (Preferred)
Experience
General Experience as a Peer Specialist (Preferred)
General Experience in Bi-lingual skills. (Preferred)
