HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistantto fill an opening with a nationally recognized healthcare organization in Fort Worth, TX
Daily Responsibilities for Certified or Registered Medical Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to the center by utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management systems for various administrative tasks such as patient registration, intake, scheduling follow-up appointments, processing patient referrals to specialists, managing insurance information, ensuring proper coding for patient visits, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting insurance copayments, and monitoring inventory to order medical and office supplies.
- Ensure the proper delivery of patient care by collecting patient medical history and preparing treatment rooms for examinations. Assist medical providers during patient examinations, emergencies, and medical procedures. Collect lab specimens (e.g., urine and blood) for testing, measure and record vital signs, operate diagnostic equipment (e.g., glucometers, pulse oximeters, nebulizers, oxygen equipment) for routine diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications as ordered by medical providers (e.g., orally, by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection). Communicate patient information and concerns to the medical staff and relay physician's instructions to patients.
- Represent the company in healthcare quality, compliance, and customer service by maintaining confidentiality of patient, employee, and computer data. Participate in quality assurance audits, quality improvement initiatives, and quality management programs. Assist in the development and promotion of clinical practice.
Required Qualifications for Certified or Registered Medical Assistant:
- Active CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or AAH certification
- Completion of Medical Assistant education program
- 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and lab specimen processing
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with EMRs

Pay Details: $20-26/hr depending on Medical Assistant Experience
