Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA performs direct patient treatments in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance patients’ performance; facilitates the learning of those skills and functions to achieve the therapy goals. Our therapists are passionate about setting the standard for patient-centered healthcare.
What You Will Do In This Role
- You will provide individualized, goal-directed care with ongoing education, training, and emotional support to foster a partnership with the patient, family and significant other.
- You will communicate pertinent payor needs requirements to patient, patient family, treatment team and physician.
- You will effectively communicate with and supervise rehab aides.
- Demonstrates competency in selected rehabilitation procedures.
- Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.
What Qualifications You Will Need
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate Degree
