Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Helps residents by providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, and/or developmental impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Monitors therapy services to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement when necessary.
- Maintains patient Occupational Therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes.
- Generates revenue by recording billing information of services rendered.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policies and procedures.
- Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Serves and protects the Occupational Therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances Occupational Therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintains productivity standard of 92%.
Schedule: FT, PT, or PRN up to 40 hours a week
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
