Description: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by providing essential care to patients in a variety of settings. Your responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient hygiene. Here are the key duties and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and competent care to patients under the supervision of a nurse.
• Assistance with Daily Activities: Help patients perform daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, walking, and exercising.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
• Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient hygiene by assisting with bathing, grooming, and other personal care needs.
• Nutrition Support: Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patients receive appropriate meals.
• Communication: Gather information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
• Observations: Record patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms to report to nursing staff.
• Medication Reminders: Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
• Positioning: Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with CNA training and facility policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Certification: State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
• CPR Certification: Current CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Education: Nursing degree from a CNA program.
• Skills: Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and handle a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Identification: Current identification.
• Computer Literacy: Comfortable using a computer.
• Personal Hygiene: Maintain excellent personal hygiene.
