Exciting New Senior Living Community (Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care) Now Open! The Medication Aide performs various resident care activities and assists residents with their Activities of Daily Living. The Medication Aide administers medications as prescribed by the physician, documents the administration, the medication effectiveness, and any noted adverse reactions or side effects under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The Certified Medication Aide will report to the Director of Health Services.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:
- Assist residents as assigned with a high quality of medication administration assistance per individual Care Plan as directed by physician orders.
- Assist with personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinence care, and offer ADL assistance.
- Assure resident safety and treat all residents with respect and dignity.
- Encourage and assist residents with participation in special programs offered by the community.
- Promote and maintain a calm atmosphere by understanding the environmental factors that enhance the lives of residents in assisted living and/or memory care.
- Ensure common areas are neat and clean.
- Follow through with all assignments on a timely basis based on resident service plans.
- Report to Director of Health Services and/or LPN-Care Partner of all resident concerns or changes in condition.
- Document daily regarding resident's plan of care
- Respond to all call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Provide emergency care within scope of practice.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year experience working as HHA/CNA/PCA/RA preferred
- One (1) year experience working in Assisted Living or Health Care preferred
- Medication Aide Certification in the State of New Jersey
- First Aid and/or CPR certification by qualified training in the State of New Jersey
Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, and Flu.
