Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Certified Medical Coder. You will analyze medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies. Serves as resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff. Reviews and verifies documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
Job Description
- Medical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder).
- Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes.
Skills Required
- Three years’ experience Knowledge of ICD10
- Ability to research coding related issues.
- Competence in coder training.
- Must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application.
- Outpatient and ED experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma/GED, AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS.
- Associate Degree (Community College, MBO)
- Certified Medical Coders
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate
- $36.00 per hour
