The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Pediatric Harriet Lane Clinic
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Harriet Lane Clinic provides care and treatment to pediatric and young adult patients from birth to 22 years of age. We offer both well-child and acute care services. Some specialty services that are offered are care for high-risk adolescents, family planning resources, and gender transition support.
The Certified Medical Assistantare responsible for patient intake, rooming patients, administering vaccines and medications, hearing and vision screening, point of care testing, EKGs, chaperoning for sensitive exams, and completing patient specific administrative paperwork
Shifts: 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday; no weekends
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required
- Completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA requiredprior to hire
- Valid CPR certification required upon hire
- Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience
