TIAG is now hiring anInformation Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team supporting Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.
This is an on-site position in the Norfolk, VA region. Candidates must possess an active TS clearance to be considered. There will be OCONUS travel up to 25% of the time, so a current passport and ability to travel OCONUS is required to be considered.
Responsibilities include:
- Primarily assist with RMF Authorization as ISSE: DADMS/DITPR-DON, eMASS updates, Security Plan, categorization, select controls, HW/SW list, PPSM, Diagrams, Security Assessment Plan (SAP), STIGS/SCAP/ACAS scans, submit CCIs and controls for review, validation, authorization, and continuous monitoring of security posture
- Help with securing systems and recommend changes to improve efficiency
- Guide with running Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans in accordance with DoD and Navy guidance
- Develop mitigations for open findings and/or update POA&M
- Assist in building High Risk Review (HRR) Package to the NAO/DONCIO as necessary
- Assist in ensuring that VRAM site has the updated security scans and track IAVAs and other cyber alerts (CTOs) to report to PMOs
- Draft diagrams, plans, policies, and SOPs to document findings, procedures, and longer-term strategy
- Interacts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related engineering discipline
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Compliant with DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification
- 5+ years of experience in DoD accreditation/authorization process with 5+ years in Navy and eMASS
- Experience with Microsoft servers, networks, STIGs, SCAP, and ACAS
- Experience with JWICS RMF process is highly desired
- Knowledge/Understanding of Cross Domain Solutions is highly desired
- Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones
- Strong team player with proven experience and ability to collaborate internally among teams and externally among application and business units
- Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
