We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant or LicensedPractical Nurse to join our dynamic team at Waukee Medical Park. This position will staff in our Lab area, and perform the following:
- Greet and prepare patients for laboratory procedures.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for specimen collection.
- Process and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Provide patient education and answer questions related to lab procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
- May assist with other patient care duties under CMA/LPN scope as needed.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification OR current LPN, license, State of Iowa requied.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in outpatient lab or clinic healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
