Position Summary: Under the direction of the Lead Medical Assistant, performs
routine administrative and patient care supportive duties.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. National Certification preferred not required, current CPR certification, previous Medical Assistant experience, phlebotomy skills, and good communication and organizational skills.
Significant Duties and Functions
Performs any combination of the following duties under direction of physician to assist in
examination and treatment of patients:
· Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and
height, and records information on patients' charts.
· Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
· Assists the Clinic Manager in the supervision of the MAs.
· Drapes patients with covering and position instruments and equipment
· Performs phlebotomy, and Waived Lab Tests
- Administering medications with physician’s authorizations.
- Maintaining supplies, equipment, and stocking.
- Disposing of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards.
- Practicing OSHA safety standards.
- Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
· May key data into computer to maintain office and patient records
· Collaborates with the CMO/FNP concerning problems encountered in
the Clinical Care Area
- Assists in orientation of new staff to ensure the successful transition into the care team.
· Performs required chart documentation
· Perform immunizations and required documentations
· Follow infection disease control Policies and Procedures
· Maintains client confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA requirements at all times
· All other duties as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
