Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant/ EMT
Job Description:
General Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic MA/CNA/EMT to join our growing practice. This individual will assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management of Central States Pain Clinic patients.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate patient intake process through introduction
- Prepare patient for examination by Provider
- Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, respirations, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications, and presenting problem.
- Obtains medical information from patient and documents in medical record.
- Document patient plan(s) of care, tests, and examination results in the medical record as directed by the Provider.
- Collect Urine Samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Provide patient/family education.
- Respond to patient questions/phone calls in a timely manner.
- Prepares prescriptions utilizing electronic health record.
- Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
- Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion.
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications.
- Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by Provider.
- Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly; dispose of contaminated items according to protocol.
- Performs other related work as required.
- Attend required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
- Assists in office projects, which will include Process Improvement.
- Maintains certification/registration.
- Follow protocols for assigned tasks.
- Prepare patients for procedure performed by Provider.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current/valid CMA/CNA certification/degree required.
- 2 years’ experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
