Job description
Compass Palliative Care is looking for a professional, driven, and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to see patients in their homes and at skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and provide the following care:
- Conduct comprehensive cognitive and neuropsychological assessments.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records.
- Follow established care plans and assist with implementing therapeutic interventions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Document patient interactions and treatments in EMR.
Previous experience as a CMA in Hospice or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with special needs.
- Strong organizational skills to keep track of clients’ medical documentation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and willingness to drive throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Salary: $24.00-25.00 per hour
