Job Title:Certified Epic HIM/ROI Application Analyst (Application Support & Optimization)

Department: Health Information Technology (HIT)

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Reports To: Epic Application Manager

Position Summary:

The Certified Epic HIM/ROI Application Analyst is responsible for providing advanced Application Support and optimization for the Epic HIM/ROI module. This role focuses on ensuring optimal functionality, performance, and user satisfaction without the emphasis on initial system implementation. The Analyst collaborates closely with clinical teams, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to support, optimize, and improve the HIM/ROI system in alignment with organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Application Support & Maintenance

Address end-user issues, troubleshoot system problems, and implement immediate solutions.
Analyze error reports and system logs to determine areas of improvement or resolve issues.
Maintain updated knowledge of Epic system upgrades, patches, and releases; facilitate their application as needed.
Optimization Efforts

Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives.
Develop and recommend strategies to improve system functionality, performance, and user experience.
Implement and test optimization changes while ensuring minimal disruptions to end-users.
User Training & Support

Provide advanced training to end-users on system functionalities and updates.
Develop and maintain user manuals, FAQs, and other training materials.
Offer continuous support to enhance user proficiency and system utilization.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the primary point of contact for the Epic HIM/ROI module.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure alignment with organizational and clinical objectives.
Collaborate with other Epic application analysts to ensure system cohesiveness and optimal inter-module functionalities.
Reporting & Documentation

Generate regular reports on system performance, user feedback, and optimization efforts.
Maintain thorough documentation on all system modifications, customizations, and decisions.
Quality & Compliance

Ensure all system modifications adhere to compliance standards, including patient privacy regulations.
Regularly review system use and data entry practices to uphold data integrity and quality.
Continuous Professional Development

Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in Epic systems and healthcare IT.
Attend workshops, seminars, and other training programs as needed.
Qualifications:


Requirements
Certification in Epic HIM/ROI module is mandatory.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Healthcare IT, Computer Science, etc.) preferred.

3+ years of experience in Epic Application Support and optimization.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with healthcare processes and terminologies.


Physical & Mental Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods.

Ability to maintain focus on complex tasks for prolonged duration.

Flexibility to handle high-pressure situations and changing priorities.
