Job description:
At VersaBucket we are seeking a highly motivated individual to be the Certified Diesel Mechanic in charge of VersaBucket's fleet. Our growing fleet consists of 27 light/medium duty bucket trucks. The primary duties of a Diesel Mechanic/technician include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking, HVAC, or electrical system components. The Diesel Mechanic maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Hours are typical, Monday through Friday. Weekends when needed only.
Required qualifications:
-HS diploma or GED
-Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
-ASE certified
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Valid Driver’s License
-Diesel repair and maintenance experience in a medium duty truck /DOT compliance
-Good organizational skills
-Commitment and adherence to all company and industry safety standards
Preferred qualifications:
-Minimum 5-year experience working on medium duty diesel trucks/equipment
-Dealers Software Experience
-Dealership Experience
-CDL (not required)
Diesel Mechanic Duties:
- Running diagnostics on vehicles
- Analyzing the diagnostic test results
- Replacing/Repairing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, HVAC, electrical, and brake system components
- Change tires when necessary from inventory
- Test driving vehicles
- Performing preventative maintenance on fleet
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Restocking inventory
- Clean shop/work area
