Job Functions

Medical Records are completed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays
· Closing discharged charts - Making sure to check for APRNs or Drs Signatures Faxing out documentation that needs to be signed by a Physician Keeping Yearly H&Ps current.
· Making sure Credentials are up to date for: Drs, APRNs (Healthpro) , Health Drive, CMHS etc.
· Sending request to lawyers, insurance companies in a timely manner.
· Preparing for Medical Staff Meetings (every quarter).
· Making sure orders are signed by APRN or Physician.
· Thinning Charts
· Filing documents.
· Keeping a list of expired residents for Medical Staff (current quarter) Making list of 10 year old records to be destroyed.
· Every Tuesday Prohealth faxes over facesheets that are needed for current and discharged residents. Make sure to send to fax as soon as received.
· Requests for Medicare Audits and NGS.
· Rearranging file cabinets to accommodate charts.
· Calling funeral homes for death certificate on deceased residents.
Medical Supplies are stocked on units Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
· Weekly orders are completed on Monday
· Check inventory and go by PAR - we use 2 different vendors (Geriatric Mckesson)
· Stock CNA Utlitity Room M-W-F Make list of needed supplements and give to Doug
· Budgeting for Medical Supplies
· Bring up OTC Meds M-W-F (ask charge nurses if needed)
· Order supplies when asked by Nurses.
