What does the CentralSupply Coordinator do?

If you love to provide the best in care to patients (wecall them residents!), ensure we have the supplies we need to be successful,and are the King/Queen of organization and staffing, the Central SupplyCoordinator role is for you! In this role, you will ensure that we have adequatesupplies for our team to utilize to care for our residents, collaborate with otherclinical staff, assist in scheduling, and more!

In this job, everyday you will...

1. Responsible for maintaining the ancillarysupplies for the nursing department including ordering supplies when stock islow.

2. Responsible for filling open positions due tolate call-ins by contacting available staff members including self to fill openshifts, while maintaining staffing levels within the State recommended levelsand Company policies.

3. Provides quality nursing care to residents in anenvironment which promotes resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, andtheir individuality while providing individualized attention and encouragingresidents to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, andpsychosocial well-being and answering residents' call lights promptly andcourteously.

4. Ensures that individualized care plans arefollowed, are documented and provides the charge nurse or other care planningstaff with resident information, documents changes and observations of theresidents' needs and preferences.

5. Attends to the individual needs of residentsincluding assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinentcare, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring,ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with theindividuals' care requirements.

6. Provides care that maintains each resident'sskin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage bychanging incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, andapplying moisturizers to fragile skin.

7. Responsible for following universal precautionsand safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, riskmanagement, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions,equipment repair and maintenance needs.

Education & Experienceyou need to qualify:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold current Certified Nursing AssistantCertification in the applicable state or be eligible to obtain certificationwithin four months of employment.
  • Basic knowledge and skills utilizing caretracking systems.
  • A minimum of three months prior nursingassistant experience in long-term care preferred.
