Central Plant Engineer

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Central Plant Operator Engineer.

The Central Plant Operator Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, operating, maintaining and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Central Plant Operator Engineer will also respond to customer requests and submit and close work orders as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC/R equipment as assigned.
• Perform water treatment testing for chillers, cooling towers, boilers as assigned.
• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of electrical distribution systems as assigned.
• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of Emergency Power and Fire / Life Safety systems as assigned.
• Assist with coordination and supervision of service with third party vendors as required.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical spaces such as electrical room, mechanical and pump rooms, engine rooms for emergency power, etc. as assigned.
• Document and report activities to ABM and Building Management via daily logs and work order system.
• Ability to interact cordially with employees and building tenants to accomplish tasks is essential to this position
• Ability to exercise independent judgment free from immediate supervision in order to manage duties and responsibilities is essential to this position
• Demonstrates high level knowledge of chiller plant operations
• High level experience with EMS and CMMS
• Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Building Management.

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
