Job Title: Central Ministries Pastor/Director, Eleven22 Kids and Students

Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Kids/Students

Reports to: Executive Ministries Pastor

Status: Full-time, exempt

Supervisory Role: Yes

Objective

TheCentral MinistriesPastorpositionwill be responsibleforexecuting the missionof The Church of Eleven22by building acommunity that seeks to glorify God by surrendering to Jesus, making disciple-making disciples and transforming communities.This position is accountable for the leadership, development and execution ofministry area strategies that will result in effective ministry results-focused, church-wide discipleshipgrowth, spiritual formation,child/student/family development through team leadership, strategic vision and implementation that helps create an environmentforallpeople to discoveranddeepena relationship with Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with executiveleadership in the implementationofshort and long-termstrategies regarding expansion, growth and partnerships in support of the overall mission of Eleven22
  • Support theLead Pastor and ExecutiveMinistriesPastorin the accomplishment of the church's mission through ministry effectiveness, discernment, decision-making, planning, project leadership and overall directionand developmentof staff
  • Teach and deliverbiblical and/or leadership content as needed
  • Accountableforimplementing ourchurch strategyand vision, providingsupport to the ExecutiveMinistriesPastor bybuilding teams to execute programsanddeveloping plans and infrastructures to supportmultipleministry area programs
  • Partner with the ExecutiveMinistriesPastorand Executive Ministries teams to ensure cross-ministry collaboration that drives and produces results
  • Build and sustain healthy teams that work healthily with other teams, serve staff and congregants for the sake of ongoing and future discipleship
  • Facilitate the annual planning process of the followingitems;ensuring that each system supports the vision,ministry area performance plan evaluations, review of mission, vision and core values, development of key objectives and tactics andbudget setting and review
  • Provide leadership to assigned "Central Ministries teams" to ensure everyone hasclarity and is working toward thevision of the Lead Pastor and in healthy partnership with our campus Pastors and staff teams
  • Provide general pastoral responsibilitiesalongside other pastoral staff includingweddings, funerals, baptisms, visitations and pastoral counseling
  • Provideleadership,oversight and infrastructure developmentto multiple ministryareasincluding:
    • Central Eleven22 Kids Ministry
      • Central Eleven22 Kids Director
      • Central Eleven22 Kids support staff
    • Central Eleven22 Student Ministry team
      • Central Eleven22 Students Director
      • Central Eleven22 Students support staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
  • 7-10yearsof large church leadership experience managingmultipleteams and/orministry areas
  • 7-10 years of age-graded ministry experience is required, preferably with substantial student ministry background
  • Leadership experience in a multisite church, (preferably five or more campuses) that includes time spent working on a local campus staff as well as on projects that affect all campuses
  • Bachelor'sdegree preferred
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Executive Ministries Pastor. Days and hours of work may vary.

The church has several big events, ("All-Skates") throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
