Census/Per Capita Tax Specialist (Bookkeeper Accounting)

The Neshaminy School District has an immediate opening for a full time (7 hours per day/35 hours per week) 12 month Census/Per Capita Tax Specialist. This is a central business office position and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining accurate and complete records of payment vouchers and school district census population and tax data. This position is known internally as Accounting Bookkeeper.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, maintaining a database of land parcels within the school district; maintaining census data; tax collection records, including tax records for businesses within the district. Prepares monthly progress reports and maintains database for Per Capita taxes. This includes reviewing and identification of delinquent taxes and remitting to the delinquent tax collector. In addition, the position will greet and direct visitors in the Administration building.
Qualifications include: proficiency in Word, Excel and computer database management skills, organizational skills, strong written and customer service skills, ability to prepare business correspondence and reports is required. Must be service oriented and able to deal effectively with people while maintaining confidentiality. Prior bookkeeping experience preferred.
