The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. in Allentown, PA has an immediate need for a full-time CPA/Tax Specialist to join our team
Responsibilities:
- Research of issues related to tax compliance and controversy.
- Communication with and submission of requests to IRS
- Compilation of responses to IDRs (Information Document Requests) and other requests for information incident to federal and state tax examinations (audits) and team work to manage same.
- Prepare and proofread pleadings and correspondence, organize discovery
- Communicate with clients, courts and attorneys and perform administrative tasks as needed, including monthly billing/time entries.
- Docket and calendar cases
- External client contact and traditional tax season overtime not required.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years' experience in preparing individual and fiduciary income, gift and estate tax returns, Pennsylvania inheritance tax returns, and related workpapers, projections, and estimates.
- Must be proficient in Prosystem, CCH IntelliConnect, BNA, and RIA Quickfinders.
- Continuing professional education offered to maintain CPA license.
- Masters in Taxation (MT) optional but preferred.
