The MHALA & Cedars-Sinai Wellness andBehavioral Health Specialist Certificate Program is a six-week program that provides education and training on an integrated model of wellness incorporating mental and physical health models of client care. This free program is offered through a grant from Cedars-Sinai to prepare participants for employment as a Behavioral Health Specialist in the mental health or healthcare field.
Topics:
Participants will receive training on working with clients in both Behavioral Health and medical care environments, on preventive healthcare, on understanding the integration of physical and mental health, and on addressing health disparities and barriers to receiving care.

Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Time: 7PM - 9PM via Zoom
Application deadline: Feb.28,2024
Upon completion of program: $500 + certification as a Behavior Health Specialist!

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be new to the Behavioral Healthcare field
- All applicants are required to be proficient in speaking/writing English and in using computers to access Zoom
