Ce Faculty Position, Division Of Sleep Medicine - Assistant Professor Rank

The Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board eligible or board certified in Sleep Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep disorders and managing patients with sleep disorders; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests; rounding on the in-patient sleep consult service; attending in the sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program. Clinical responsibilities will be at the primary outpatient site of the Sleep Division at the University of Pennsylvania.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include using upper airway imaging including PET (positron emission tomography) imaging to diagnose and treat sleep disorders and investigating the relationships between sleep disorders and co-existing conditions including atherosclerosis.
