Schedule Commitment
The Code Compliance Officer performs most duties on a Monday-Friday schedule, with some overtime or irregular hours worked when required.
Pay PlanThis opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #12. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range: Min-Mid
Min $54,127.84 ($26.02)
Mid $66,298.34 ($31.87)
Max $78,468.83 ($37.73)

- Thorough knowledge of current federal and state laws, statutes, and ordinances on public health, verbal fluency, and good grammar.
- A bachelor's degree in public health, biological or physical science, or related field with at least 30 semester hours of science.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Professional Sanitarian (R.S.) or Registered Environmental Health Sanitarian (R.E.H.S.) License within twelve months of employment.
- Must become a Certified Pool Operator and obtain a non-commercial pesticide applicator's license within one year of employment.
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
