Our award-winning catering services are consistently recognized as the top special events food and service providers in Los Angeles. We are looking for passionate and experienced Event Prep/Line Cooks to join our team!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables, and marinating meats.
- Preparing soups, salads, and sauces as instructed by the head cook or kitchen manager
- Assist with plating and garnishing tasting items as instructed by the head cook or kitchen manager
- Ensure that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure that all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift
- Adhere to standard food rotation practices to reduce food waste and minimize the risk of contamination
- Assess the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets Tres LA standards.
- Maintaining an overall a clean and organized workplace
- Follow direction from Event Sous Chef/Event Chef for any additional needed tasks to ensure a successful event
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Team player that gets along with others easily
- Physical stamina to be able stand for extended periods
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Multitasker
Requirements
- Must have and maintain CA Food Handler’s Card
- Authorization to work in the US
- 1 year cook experience or Culinary School graduate
