Description:
- Catch and pick up live chickens catch by both wings or both legs and load them into steel cages.
- Comply with written company policies.
- Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP and biosecurity policies.
- Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or live management official.
The abnormal situation would be:
Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
Any activity that goes against the Peco animal welfare policy.
Vaccinating Chickens
Description:
- Catch and pick up live chickens by both wings or both legs and present them to the vaccinator to be vaccinated.
- Administer vaccinations in appropriate locations in accordance with Peco policy.
- Comply with written company policies.
- Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP and biosecurity policies.
- Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or live management official.
The abnormal situation would be:
Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
Any activity that goes against the Peco animal welfare policy.
Physical Demands:
- Standing/walking 100% of the workday.
- Lifting live birds that weigh between 4.0-7.0 pounds on average.
- Dusty/warm work environment inside the chicken houses.
- Performing repetitive motion.
- Being able to work in a mostly outdoor environment.
