ABOUT THE PROGRAM: HENDEE ROAD HOUSE

Hendee Road Home is a 6 bed residential program for men with severe mental illness and are discharging from long term hospitalization. The program will address the full range of daily living needs of each individual with a focus on increasing independence and self-efficacy of individuals through 24-hour/7-day a week staff support in the residence and the community. Staff interventions focus on teaching skills around daily living, symptom management, coping skills, medication management, health & nutrition, healthy relationships, personal safety, money management, substance use education, linking to recovery supports, and providing sober activities. Staff will also provide crisis intervention in attempt to reduce need for hospitalizations and emergency room visits. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilizes appropriate therapeutic models to aid clients in understanding and managing their symptoms.
• Maintains family and other collateral contacts to ensure quality, client-centered services.
• Encourages use of  and involves natural supports in treatment planning and discharge processes whenever possible.
• Provides case management, clinical and crisis intervention supports as indicated.
• Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
• Uses EMR to document all services and contacts with clients, collateral contacts and appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  H.S or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Experience:  Experience working with identified populations preferred.  Individuals who identify themselves as having a mental illness or substance abuse are encouraged to apply

Additional Qualifications:  Must have a valid state driver’s license. (Requires good driving record), CPR/First Aid within six months of hire.

COMPENSATION*:

$18.8631hr minimum to $28.2947/hr maximum, dependent upon experience. 

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
