PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position works as part of a team to provide child and Family Services to individuals and families in Northeast Wisconsin by offering direct services, education, and support in the area of parenting, adoption, and pregnancy support services. This position will conduct home visits, in-office appointments, community-based visits, and occasional virtual appointments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required. Experience in social service setting, awareness of community resources, and prior experience working in adoption helpful.
- Training and knowledge in the area of child welfare services working with varied caseload.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Position requires regular travel to meet with clients, presentations and related tasks across Northeastern Wisconsin. Some overnight travel required for training.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn statutory requirements for child welfare services in particular WI State Statutes, Chapter 48, DCF 56, DCF 54, DCF 55, HFS12, and DCF 37, ICWA, ICPC.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and case record keeping.
- Ability to work with the larger social service community in both the public and private sector.
- Ability to work well independently and with a team.
- Skilled in Time Management.
- Skilled in problem solving and finding creative solutions to challenges.
- Ability to document work performed and maintain appropriate paperwork.
PREFERRED:
- Certified Social Worker.
- Master’s Degree.
- Bilingual.
