As we continue to grow, we are in need of more Case Managers for new positions. Jackson-MacNichol dedicates its practice to fighting for benefits for disabled Americans, through our Veterans Disability law practice. We are looking for someone with prior legal office experience. We need an organized individual, a team player, and someone who has excellent interpersonal skills. This is a remote position; however, the Case Manager will have frequent phone contact with clients and will interact remotely with colleagues on a regular basis. What is the job?
A Case Manager helps guide the client through the claims process. This full-time position requires excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be required to maintain good contact with both the client and with the attorneys handling each case. You must make sure that deadlines set by the VA are met by the team; you must create letters and draft appeals for review and signature by the attorney for a case. As well as extensive client contact. You must work well with a team of intake personnel, attorneys, interns, and other staff to meet set team goals and to help all team members accomplish their given tasks.
What are the qualifications for the job?
A Case Manager handles a lot of client calls, so good phone skills are a must, and to that end, the ability to prioritize is critical. Our client case files and hearing system is computer-based, so a candidate for Case Manager should have basic knowledge of computers so we can easily teach you the office case management program. Most important is the ability to work well in a team environment, as our whole office is divided into teams within departments. Prior legal experience is a requirement for this position. Remote position is for the following states ONLY: Alabama, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania & Wisconsin. We are not set to hire anyone to work remotely in any other state.
